Shelton has earned the No. 8 seed in the SCC boys lacrosse playoffs and will play at top seed Fairfield Prep in the quarterfinals on Monday.
The Gaels completed the regular season with a 7-8 record, including a 3-5 mark in conference play.

Shelton did not play Fairfield Prep during the regular season. The Gaels qualified for the SCC playoffs despite losing their final three games. Their last win was 12-11 overtime victory over North Haven on May 13.

Shelton 4, Branford 0 -- Ryan Testani tossed a four-hitter for the Gaels (8-10), who clinched a berth in the state tournament for the 31st consecutive year. Mike Georgalas had a two-run double in the first inning when Shelton scored all four runs.
