Shelton Scores and Standings: May 5

Danica Foglio and Alexandra Farley, who played on the Shelton girls soccer team that won the CIAC Class LL state championship last fall, will sign National Letters of Intent on Wednesday to attend Division I Central Connecticut State University and Monmouth University, respectively.

The players officially will sign with their respective schools during a press conference at Shelton High School at 8 a.m.

Foglio was the captain of the Gaels' squad that also captured the Southern Connecticut Conference title last season.

During her tenure at Shelton, she was a four-time varsity letter winner, Class LL All-State team selection and a CGSCA Senior Bowl pick while earning a spot on New Haven Register All-Area squad and the Connecticut Post All-Star team.

In addition, Foglio was an  SCC All-Housatonic Division team member and a two-time winner of the Shelton High School girls soccer varsity leadership award.  She resides in Shelton with her parents, William and Theresa Foglio.

A three-time varsity letter winner, Farley was the MVP of  the Class LL state championship game and the SCC tournament. She also earned All-State and  CGSCA Senior Bowl honors while twice being named to the Register and Connecticut Post teams.

In addition, Farley was an SCC All-Housatonic Division team member and a two-time winner of the Shelton High School girls soccer defensive player of the year award.  She resides in Shelton with her parents, Edwin and Pamela Farley.
