Frank Camerino rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns Thursday as the Shelton football team posted a 29-8 victory over Hamden.

The Gaels rebounded from last week's 28-0 loss to Notre Dame of West Haven to improve to 3-1. Hamden dropped to 0-4 and suffered its 16th consecutive loss

Shelton opened the scoring when Ed Groth tossed a 13-yard TD pass to his brother, Jeff. Camerino's 3-yard TD run pushed Shelton's lead to 14-0 before the Green Dragons got on the board on Tim Dube's 66-yard TD pass to Derek Atkinson.

Gary Thompson's 1-yard TD run gave Shelton a 22-8 halftime lead before Camerino completed the scoring with a 13-yard TD scamper in the third period.

Jagger Kalagian rushed for nearly 100 yards while Ed Groth completed all seven of his passes.
