Shelton boys basketball player Christian Pierre was named to the SCC's all-Housatonic Division team.
Pierre was joined on the team by Amity Regional's Zac Campbell, Cheshire's Nate Howard, Lyman Hall's Jack McCarthy and Kevin Ruys and Sheehan's Brian Murphy.
The Gaels finished 8-13 after losing to St. Joseph in the first round of the Class LL state tournament. However, Shelton doubled its win total from last season (4-16) and qualified for the state tournament for the first time in five years.
