Shelton’s OPEL Solar International Changes Name to OPEL Technologies
Company also announces the launch of three new websites to better reflect its expansion into distinct markets.
OPEL Solar International Inc., which is headquartered in Toronto but has offices in Shelton, has changed its name to OPEL Technologies Inc.
In a release, company officials said the name change is the result of OPEL expanding into new markets. Not only is OPEL Technologies a global supplier of high concentration photovoltaic (HCPV) solar panels and solar tracker systems, it is also a semiconductor developer.
In order to better target the distinct markets it serves, OPEL Technologies has also announced the launch of three new websites. These new websites, which will be linked together for ease of navigation, will increase its presence on the Internet and will also provide new tools to investors.

“The name change to OPEL Technologies better exemplifies the scope of our expanding company,” OPEL CEO Leon M. Pierhal said in a release. “The organization has exhibited significant growth and recognition in each of its distinct business divisions, and it is important to establish a parent company that captures each group's mission as they gain momentum and growth in the future.”
