Suspect in Violent Domestic Attack Sought by Ansonia Police

The suspect allegedly threatened a female victim at knife point and choked her unconscious during the assault.

ANSONIA, CT — A 38-year-old Ansonia man is sought by police for allegedly assaulting a female victim, threatening her with a knife and choking her to the point of unconsciousness.

The whereabouts of Justin Nicholas Bohn, of Winter Street, are unknown, according to police, and he is considered dangerous. He stands 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighs 200 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. See the photo accompanying this story.

"The female victim was held against her will, threatened at knife point, physically assaulted, and choked to the point of losing consciousness during the course of the incident," wrote Ansonia police in a Facebook post, adding that the attack began on July 23 and ended on July 24.

Pending charges against Bohn are:

  • Kidnapping in the Second Degree
  • Interfering with Emergency Calls
  • Strangulation in the Second Degree
  • Threatening in the Second Degree
  • Assault in the Second Degree

When or if he is captured, his court-set bond will be $1 million, according to police.

"If you know the location of Bohn or see him, please contact your local police department or the Ansonia Police Department," police wrote. "It is unknown where Justin Bohn is at this time and we are asking the public to be on the look-out. Do not approach Bohn as he is considered dangerous."
