Third Arrest Made in Armed Robbery at Shelton Liquor Store

A third person has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that took place at Cleto’s Liquor Store in December, NBC Connecticut reports.

Valentine Rodriguez, 32, of Bridgeport was arrested on March 11. He was previously arrested on Dec. 24. 2014 in connection with an armed robbery at Cumberland Farms.

Rodriguez was arrested while he was in court, the news channel reports. He is accused of holding up Cleto’s along with his brother Jonathan Rodriguez, 30 an accomplice and a fourth person, who has not been arrested.

Rodriguez was charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit robbery and larceny and criminal possession of a firearm.

His brother Jonathan Rodriguez was arrested previously in connection with the robbery. Samantha Cruz-Palarino, 25, of Oxford turned herself in in February and is accused in both robberies of driving the suspects.
