• The Strange Legend of 'Candy,' Candlewood Lake's Giant Monster Fish (i95rock.com) — Sherman shares Candlewood Lake with four neighboring towns, and that lake is home to a spooky local legend about a giant monster fish called "Candy." The story, which emerged in the late 1970s, places the creature near Vaughn's Neck between New Milford and New Fairfield, adding eerie fun to a favorite regional recreation spot.
