Summary of Amendments to Tax Credit for Elderly and Disabled Homeowners Ordinance

The Town of Simsbury’s Board of Selectmen has adopted amendments to the Tax Credit for Elderly and Disabled Homeowners Ordinance (Simsbury Code of Ordinances, Chapter 141, Article VIII) to match the eligibility requirements defined in the enabling state statute, as amended by Public Act 19-66. The adopted amendments are intended to permit eligibility for qualified trusts to participate in the program, and to change the tax year to coincide with the state program.

A copy of the Ordinance is available for public inspection at the Town Clerk’s Office and the Town Clerk shall, upon request, mail a copy of the Ordinance to any person requesting a copy at no charge. The Ordinance is also available for review on the Town of Simsbury website, www.simsbury-ct.gov on the Board of Selectmen page.
