Simsbury Chamber Honors New Owners of Village Auto Repair

 The new owners of Village Auto Repair, 23 Main St., Tariffville, were honored on Nov. 30 at a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony held by the Simsbury Chamber of Commerce.

The event was hosted by Chamber members Tom and Karen Short, who recently purchased the long-time business. 

"It's like coming home again," said Tom, who grew up in Tariffville and has worked in the past for Wagner Ford, Simsbury Tire and Tim's Automotive.

Village Auto Repair offers a range of automotive services, from oil changes and alignments to engine work and other major repairs. 

In addition, Tom said that Village Auto sells used cars and he works diligently to find a vehicle that meets each customer's needs.

Seasonal snowplowing is also offered.

"It's exciting to see a this kind of commitment to Tariffville's business base," said Chamber President Kay Green. "We wish Village Auto Repair many years of success."

 The Simsbury Chamber of Commerce has more than 400 members from Simsbury and beyond and has been named the 12th largest Chamber in the Greater Hartford Region by the Hartford Business Journal.
