The Swedish Beauties will be out in force on Saturday, October 20th at Mitchell Volvo-Saab on Hopmeadow St. Decked out in all their shining glory, the contest will feature Saabs and Volvos of all makes and model years.

This year's competition marks the 31st year of the beauty contest at the auto dealer. Owners of the vehicles are encouraged to enter the contest to win prizes, bragging rights, and impress the judges, a collection of Saab and Volvo experts and representatives from the Mitchell staff.

Entrants can register their vehicles upon their arrival the morning of the event. Previous years' contest have drawn as many as fifty cars. Old classic cars have been at previous shows such as the 1969 Saab 93 and the 1963 Volvo P1800.

Beginning bright and early at 8:30 a.m., the show will run through 4:00 p.m. In addition to the beauty contest, the Mitchell team has a full array of festivities planned. They will be offering to their Volvo and Saab customers by appointment only, free inspections, free mini detailing, and a free service clinic. Food will be provided in a tailgate cookout style, with hamburgers, turkey burgers and hot dogs provided for those attending.
The public is encouraged to attend the event and celebrate the beautiful specimens of the storied history of Swedish automaking.
