Loyola University Maryland, Baltimore MD

  • MaryKate Bourdon, a member of the class of 2017 from Simsbury, has been named to the spring 2017 Dean's List at Loyola University Maryland. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY

  • Some 3,500 students graduated during Rochester Institute of Technology's 132nd commencement celebration, held in May, including Simsbury residents Andrew Glaude, who graduated with a BS/MS in computer science; Nicholas Schmidt, who graduated with a BS in computing security; and Rowan Thompson, who graduated with a BS in environmental science.

Saint Joseph's University, Philadelphia PA

  • Three students from Simsbury earned dean's list honors for the spring 2017 semester at Saint Joseph's University. They are Lauren Catalano, Rachel DeLuco and Stephanie Sickinger.

Union College, Schenectady NY

  • Created annually, Union College students with at least a 3.50 grade point average are honored with the academic achievement of Dean's List. Simsbury honorees are Christian Kaljulaid, a member of the Class of 2017 majoring in Mechanical Engineering, and Meghan Keegan, a member of the Class of 2017 majoring in History.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

  • At the University of Rhode Island's 131st Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 20-21, 2017, about 2,600 undergraduate and 650 graduate degrees were awarded. The former students became the University's newest alumni. Chris Peter Heintz of Simsbury received a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science.
