Celebrate the Depths of Winter with a Cozy "Hygge" Day

At the Storyteller's Cottage

Cozy Hygge Day for Children & Adults
Cozy Hygge Day for Children & Adults (The Storyteller's Cottage)

Doesn’t a cold winter day make you want to get cozy with something soft? The Nordic concept of “hygge” refers to “a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being.” On Saturday, January 18, the Storyteller’s Cottage will host a Cozy “Hygge” Day for children and adults.

Miranda Procko of Owl Ridge Fibers will discuss a fun story about sheep over hot chocolate. Then guests will learn all about the process of creating wool products, from sheep to product. Miranda will demonstrate how her spinning wheel and drop spindle work, and then guests will have a chance to try spinning their own wool on several mini drop spindles. It will be the perfect hygge respite and a wonderful way to spend a cold winter afternoon!

The Children’s Cozy “Hygge” Storytime & Wool Spinning Class will take place from 2:00 to 3:00pm. Tickets are just $20 and can be purchased at https://www.storytellerscottage.com/bookings-checkout/children-s-cozy-hygge-day
