Great Scott Mystery Rooms Open!

Bring your team of up to 8 people, and immerse yourself in a classic mystery story. Each of our three game rooms is full of codes, riddles, puzzles, and clues, and you will have one hour to solve the mystery we've set for you!

We are one of Connecticut's newest escape game rooms, and we are conveniently located in historic Simsbury center, just 30 minutes west of Hartford. Our charming location inside The Storyteller's Cottage, an authentic Victorian home, makes our games intensely immersive.

Follow in the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, Nancy Drew, Inspector Clouseau, and even Shaggy & Scooby as you unearth hidden clues and solve the fascinating mysteries that await you at the Great Scott! Mystery Rooms. With your team of up to eight friends and family members, you'll decode hidden messages, decipher thorny riddles, untangle cryptic puzzles, and reveal the solutions to intriguing mysteries that have stumped great minds from across the country... in just one hour!

Our games are inspired by our favorite classic mystery novels, and are set in an authentic vintage Victorian home. We incorporate LARPing (Live Action Role Playing), period furnishings and cleverly evocative details to create a fully immersive game. YOU will become a major character in a thrilling mystery adventure! We also offer one of the few handicapped-accessible escape rooms in the area, along with a charming vintage space for catered special events before or after your game.
