Husband and Wife Duo “FIDDLE & HARP” to Celebrate Release of CD
Enjoy a live concert by Marcie & Gordon Swift, also known as Fiddle & Harp, followed by a wine & dessert party

Marcie and Gordon Swift, the husband and wife musical duo known as “Fiddle & Harp,” will hold a celebratory concert on Saturday, March 9 at 7:30pm at the Storyteller’s Cottage in Simsbury to mark the release of their first CD, “The Heart is True.”
The hour-long live musical performance will include a variety of Irish, American and original tunes featuring a soothing harp and spirited fiddle in special arrangements by Gordon and Marcie. The performance will be followed by a delicious wine and dessert reception, and all guests will receive a signed copy of the CD, “The Heart is True” to take home.
Marcie Swift, a psychologist and therapeutic musician, creates sanctuaries of sound that both heal and elevate. She brings her warmth and energy to concerts, to retreats at Copper Beech Institute and Holy Family, and to assisted living centers and private homes.

After studying Western classical and South Indian classical violin, Gordon Swift has played in bands ranging from jazz-rock fusion to reggae to country-and-western. He holds a doctorate in ethnomusicology from Wesleyan University and leads The Lost Acres String Band.
Tickets for this delightful event are $35, and pre-registration is required.
