Keep Simsbury Warm

Help Fill Simsbury Food Closet Sunday, December 14th

State Representative John K. Hampton (D-Simsbury) and longtime community volunteer J. Paul Lanza invite the community to join them in stocking the Simsbury Food Closet during the Simsbury Holiday Food Drive. Residents can drop off non-perishable food items on Sunday, December 14th from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Simsbury Town Hall.

The Town of Simsbury Social Services Department depends upon public support to assist struggling Simsbury residents with basic needs such as heat, utilities, shelter, transportation, and food, especially during the holidays.

Suggested non-perishable food donations include:
Canned fruit, cereals, chicken a la king, canned chicken, chow mein, chunky soups and stews, corned beef, crackers, saltines, fluff , ground coffee - regular and decaf (or instant), tea, hash, hamburger or chicken helper, juice (bottles or cans), oatmeal, pancake mix, maple syrup, peanut butter, jelly, fluff, pasta/ spaghetti sauce, spam, & tuna. Also, paper towels, toilet paper (Individually wrapped or 4 packs).
