1. Historic Simsbury Building Gets Large State Grant For Renovations (patch.com) — Simsbury residents can look forward to a major upgrade of Eno Memorial Hall, as a new $1.6 million state grant will help fund roof and HVAC replacements at the historic building. 2. Proposed car wash draws suburban CT community pushback. Part of it is over water use. (courant.com) — Simsbury officials are set to decide tonight whether a 7,275-square-foot car wash can be added to the Dorset Crossing development along Route 202, despite strong resident concerns about aquifer safety and drought. The Zoning Commission will vote at Town Hall after mixed recommendations from other boards, while the developer and water company insist the project meets environmental and water-supply standards.
