Longtime Simsbury Police Department Members Promoted

A pair of longtime officers recently were promoted in rank.

SIMSBURY, CT — Two longtime members of the Simsbury Police Department were recently promoted, Chief Nicholas Boulter said.

On July 2, Sgt. Tom Sheehan was promoted to lieutenant, and Patrol Officer First Class Brad Chase was promoted to sergeant.

Sheehan has been Commander of the Patrol Division and Communications since February 2018. Prior to that, he served as the Detective Sergeant for many years.

Chase has served the department most recently in the Patrol Division as a patrol officer, field training officer and an instructor. He had previously been the School Resource Officer at Simsbury High School.
