Man Charged In String of Simsbury Car Burglaries

He is currently facing charges in several towns, and is being held in lieu of bonds exceeding $100,000.

SIMSBURY, CT — Police arrested a Hartford man Wednesday on a warrant charging him in connection with a string of car burglaries that took place in town in February of this year.

Emmanuel DeJesus, 27, was charged with five counts of third-degree burglary, 11 counts of criminal mischief, eleven counts of second-degree criminal mischief, sixth-degree larceny and six counts of criminal attempt to commit burglary.

Bond was set at $50,000; he is being held in lieu of bonds totaling $106,000, including seven other pending cases, according to judicial records.
