Murdered Simsbury Woman Was Stabbed: State
According to the Office of the Connecticut Chief State Medical Examiner, a 49-year-old woman killed last week was stabbed in the neck.

SIMSBURY, CT — The state medical examiner's office Monday afternoon confirmed a Simsbury woman's death last Friday was from a fatal stabbing and labeled a homicide.
The Simsbury Police Department said, Ding Sheng Lin, 50, was taken into custody and charged with the murder of his 49-year-old wife Qiu Rongfang at about 11:24 a.m. Friday, April 26.
Monday, Lin was arraigned in Hartford Superior Court.

According to the Connecticut Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner on Monday, April 29, Rongfang's cause of death was consistent with being fatally stabbed, namely "sharp force injuries of the neck."
Police said Friday that was when officers were called to 78 Wildwood Road, Simsbury, to investigate a reported domestic assault following a reported argument.

Simsbury Police Lt. Brad Chase said officers were on the scene quickly and found a female there suffering "life-threatening" injuries.
The woman, later identified as Rongfang, was immediately provided emergency medical care by officers and Simsbury Volunteer Ambulance Association personnel, police said.
After emergency transport to Saint Francis Hospital, police said Rongfang was pronounced dead.
Currently, the Hartford State's Attorney Office, the Connecticut State Police Major Crimes Division, the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the Avon Police Department are assisting Simsbury police.
