Simsbury Man Charged With Murdering Wife: Police
The reported domestic incident happened late Friday morning at a Simsbury residence, police said.

SIMSBURY, CT — A 50-year-old Simsbury man has been charged with murder after police said he killed a female relative, reportedly his wife, late Friday morning.
According to the Simsbury Police Department, Ding Sheng Lin, 50, was taken into custody and charged with the murder of 49-year-old Qiu Rongfang at about 11:24 a.m. Friday, April 26.
Police did not indicate the nature of the crime or the relationship between the two beyond them being a "relative."

But WFSB Channel 3 and WVIT Channel 30 are reporting the woman was the suspect's wife and there was an argument.
Police said that was when officers were called to 78 Wildwood Road, Simsbury, to investigate a reported domestic assault.

"The department received a 911 call from a resident of the single-family home who described a physical altercation between two relatives," wrote Simsbury Police Lt. Brad Chase in a statement Friday afternoon.
Chase said officers were on the scene quickly and found a female there suffering "life-threatening" injuries.
The woman was immediately provided emergency medical care by officers and Simsbury Volunteer Ambulance Association personnel, police said.
After emergency transport to Saint Francis Hospital, police said the victim was pronounced dead.
"This is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public at this time," Chase said.
Currently, the Hartford State's Attorney Office, the Connecticut State Police Major Crimes Division, the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the Avon Police Department are assisting Simsbury police.
No further details were available, including how the murder was committed, with more information expected to be released later, police said.
