New Tradition Rocks at Simsbury High School
A new 'spirit rock' was donated to Simsbury High School by Simscroft-Echo Farms Inc. for students to paint to show their school spirit.

SIMSBURY, CT—With the start of the school year on August 27th, there is a brand new “tradition in the making” for Simsbury High School (SHS) students to provide a creative outlet for their enthusiasm for the sports teams, clubs, and school activities that are so much a part of student life at SHS—a “Spirit Rock.”
The boulder was donated by Simscroft-Echo Farms Inc., and the placement of it just inside the main entrance to the high school was coordinated by the Town of Simsbury’s Director of Public Works, Tom Roy. Director of Athletics & Student Activities Dane Street was grateful for the efforts of everyone involved in the project, noting, “The rock will be a focal point for members of sports teams, clubs, and school activities to use their creative abilities to spread their positive messages about upcoming events, accomplishments, and just spirit in general.”
