The report notes that all charges are allegations, not convictions, and provides links to recent arrests, citations, and court disposition information for those wishing to follow local cases further.

2. Simsbury High Reports Gains In Rankings, AP Participation; But Also Absenteeism Issue (patch.com) — Simsbury High School is celebrating higher rankings, stronger AP participation, and improved discipline, even as leaders target chronic absenteeism, cheating, and AI use this year. At a recent Simsbury Board of Education meeting, administrators detailed test scores, college outcomes, vaping concerns, and new efforts to expand career and trade exposure for local students.

3. Neighbors complained. But planned solar farms in two CT towns move forward (courant.com) — A state siting decision has cleared the way for a nearly $11 million, 4.65‑megawatt solar farm on Nod Road in Simsbury, despite strong neighborhood opposition. The project will replace much of the former golf property used by Tower Disc Golf and must follow strict conditions on fencing, stormwater, aquifer protection, and long‑term maintenance.

4. Volleyball Recap: Simsbury Pushes Bristol Eastern to the Limit (maxpreps.com) — Simsbury's volleyball team pushed undefeated Bristol Eastern to five sets but came up just short in a 3‑2 thriller, despite outscoring the Lancers overall. Standout performances from Delaney Hallam and Bella Alvarez weren't enough to stop the team's early‑season skid, which continued with a straight‑set loss to RHAM on September 25.
