• Simsbury Park Fundraiser To Honor Beloved Board Member Who Died Last Year (patch.com) — Simsbury residents are invited to an annual Friends of Simsbury Farms golf tournament later this month that will honor the late board member and community volunteer Paul Simeon. The fundraiser at Simsbury Farms Golf Course supports improvements to the town's recreation complex while giving family, friends, and neighbors a chance to celebrate Simeon's life and his focus on relationships and community. Although player spots appear sold out, donations and sponsorships are still welcome.

• Kids Can Learning Acting Via Theater Group's Fall Classes In West Hartford, Simsbury (patch.com) — Families in Simsbury can sign their kids up for fall theater classes starting Sept. 29, with programs ranging from fairy-tale creative drama to a SpongeBob musical production. Offered through Playhouse Theatre Group, the classes aim to build confidence, creativity, and collaboration, with options for ages 3 to 13 plus discounts, scholarships, and free trials for new students.
