Police Investigate Smash-And-Grabs At Simsbury Playgrounds
Police are investigating after four cars had their windows smashed in earlier this week.
SIMSBURY, CT — Police are investigating four smash-and-grab thefts from vehicles. The thefts occurred Tuesday at the Squadron Line School playground/soccer field parking area and the Educational Playcare parking lot at 1 St. John’s Place between 4-5 p.m.
Police said that in each case the suspect broke a window and grabbed a purse that was left inside the vehicle in plain view.
Police have identified the suspect vehicle as a newer model white Jeep Grand Cherokee with black wheels/rims. If anyone has any information on the case, please contact the Simsbury Police Department at (860) 658-3100.

Police provided a reminder not to leave valuables in your vehicle. They also cautioned that if you witness a crime in progress, contact police and do not attempt to intervene.
