On Saturday, July 20, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, The Storyteller’s Cottage will host a unique writing workshop, “Good Grief: Writing to Process Loss”.

Loss is inevitable, and writing has been proven to help people grieve in a healthy way. This workshop provides participants an opportunity to explore the complexities of grief and healing using guided prompts and instruction by published creative nonfiction essayist, Nan McKernon. Cost is $90.

Nan McKernon is a published creative nonfiction essayist and writer for Regional Hospice and Palliative Care in Danbury. She is an adjunct Writing Professor at Quinnipiac University and Public Speaking Professor at Naugatuck Valley Community College and facilitates creative nonfiction writing workshops at The Storyteller’s Cottage and The Writers’ Workshop. She earned her M.F.A. in writing at Western CT State University and her B.A. in Communications & Journalism at Simmons College in Boston. www.nanmckernon.com
