Senior Citizens Invited to "Evolving with Spunk"

A creative writing class about aging with style

Evolving with Spunk: a creative writing class for seniors
Evolving with Spunk: a creative writing class for seniors (The Storyteller's Cottage)

The Storytellers’ Cottage will hold a unique series of writing workshops for senior citizens who do not plan to grow old quietly. Called “Evolving with Spunk,” the classes will meet on select Wednesdays through the summer from 11:00 am to noon, just before the Wednesday Lunch at the Simsbury Senior Center.

Participants will spend an hour exploring how they feel about aging using creative writing prompts in this casual class led by author T. J. Banks. This illuminating hour will help seniors learn more about themselves and learn to manage this new stage of their lives.

Evolving with Spunk will meet on June 12 & 26, July 10 & 24, and August 7. Participants may choose to attend one or several classes, each of which costs just $15. With every essay finished, writers earn a coupon for 10% off any Storyteller’s Cottage event.
