Amanda Bannikov will publish a series of children's books with the Storyteller's Press
Simsbury resident Amanda Bannikov is set to publish a series of three charming children's books with Storyteller's Press, an imprint of the Storyteller's Cottage.
Featuring a friendly dragon, Tippy, and his best friend, a girl knight named Kimothin, Amanda's story books encourage children to complete classic activities, like brushing their teeth and going to bed. These sweet tales also promote diversity and tolerance in a warm and compassionate voice.
The Sleepy Dragon introduces Kimothin, a female brave knight on an adventure to find a scary beast to slay. Instead, she meets Tippy, a dragon that needs her help because he hasn't slept in days. With a little help from pillows, blankets, and creative thinking, falling asleep takes no time at all!

The Smelly Pirate features Kimothin the Knight and Tippy the Dragon on another adventure. They meet Pirate Ben, one smelly-breathed pirate that they are determined to help. With their toothbrushes, toothpaste, and a few other surprises in hand, Kimothin and Tippy save the day!
In Tippy and Kimothin’s Holiday Celebration, it’s party time in the Kingdom of Smesselleo and Tippy the Dragon and Kimothin the Knight are planning a big celebration for everyone. They enlist the help of the other knights in the kingdom, who all celebrate different holidays, to make the day extra special. Learn about everyone’s favorite holidays and celebrate with the kingdom.
