Simsbury Budget Proposal Headed for Referendum
A $94.07 million budget for 2016-17 would result in no tax increase, officials say.

SIMSBURY, CT - The proposed $94.07 million budget approved by the Simsbury Board of Finance is headed for a referendum vote, the Hartford Courant reported.
A June 7 referendum date is being suggested to the Board of Selectmen.
The proposal marks a 2.23 percent increase from the 2015-16 fiscal year budget.

$67.45 million, or just over 71 percent of the total budget, is earmarked for education.
