Simsbury Dems To Host Two Hopefuls

SIMSBURY, CT — Endorsed Democratic candidates Eric Wellman, seeking a spot in the legislature, and Stephanie Thomas, seeking the secretary of the state's job, will be at a rally in Simsbury Saturday.

The event, called "Day of Action," is at the Simsbury Performing Arts Center, 22 Ironhorse Blvd. starting at 10:45 a.m.

Thomas, the endorsed Democratic candidate for secretary of the state, will be joining legislative candidate Eric Wellman and Simsbury Democrats at their canvassing kickoff for the Wellman campaign’s “Day of Action” in advance of the Aug. 9 primary.

Thomas represents Norwalk, Wilton and Westport in the Connecticut General Assembly.

Wellman, who is the endorsed choice of the Simsbury Democratic Party, is running to represent the town in the Connecticut General Assembly.

The former two-term first selectman is now a member of the board of selectmen.
