Simsbury FD Promotes Three, Welcomes One

SIMSBURY, CT — The town's bravest celebrated the achievements of four of their own at a special ceremony earlier this week at the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Department.

The department Tuesday welcomed friends, family and colleagues of three officers who were promoted and one new regular member.

During the special pinning ceremony, Lt. Mark Zenick was promoted to the rank of Captain and has been assigned to the Weatogue Fire Station.

Meanwhile, Lt. Brian Everest was also prmooted to Captain at the Main Fire Station, where firefighter Matt Pearce-Bristol will join him as a newly appointed Lieutenant.

In addition to the trio of promotions, the SVFD also welcomed firefighter Max Kuczorski, who successfully completed all the requirements of a probationary firefighter and was pinned with his regular member badge.
