A Weatogue resident was arrested by Simsbury police Wednesday on sexual assault and other charges.
Douglas Garofalo, 33, of 20 Selma Court, is charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault, two counts of illegal sexual contact and three counts of risk of injury to a minor.
He is being held on $500,000 bond, and was arraigned Thursday in Enfield Superior Court.

Judicial records indicate the offenses took place on Sept. 15, Sept. 16 and Oct. 4 of this year.
Capt. Nick Boulter said the warrant for Garofalo’s arrest is sealed, and he was unable to provide any further information.

Garofalo is scheduled to return to court Nov. 12.
