Simsbury Motel Closes; Luxury Apartments Planned

A motel in Simsbury has closed, and a developer has plans for the site.

SIMSBURY, CT — The Iron House Inn in Simsbury is now closed, and a developer has plans to convert the building into 25 luxury apartments, according to The Hartford Courant. The two-story motel on Hopmeadow Street operated for about 50 years before closing last month.

The property was sold to developer Luke Florian for $875,000.
