Simsbury Native's Pilot TV Show Picked Up By HBO: Report
The 2014 Simsbury High School grad is an actress, stand-up comic, writer, and producer.

SIMSBURY, CT — HBO has reportedly picked up a pilot comedy series by a Simsbury native who is quickly making a name for herself as a comedienne, actress, writer, and producer.
According to the entertainment news website "Deadline," HBO has accepted a new television comedy by Rachel Sennott, 28, a 2014 Simsbury High School graduate.
The television program that is yet to be named is about a group of friends who reunite and notice how the time apart has changed each other, according to Deadline.

After high school, Sennott studied acting at New York University. She currently resides in both New York and Los Angeles.
Late last summer, she starred in the critically acclaimed, raunchy sex comedy "Bottoms," which was co-written by Sennott.

Before her work in that movie, she starred in several other movies and television shows, including the movie "Shiva Baby" in 2020 and the ABC sitcom "Call Your Mother," which also starred Kyra Sedgwick, in 2021.
Sennott also was in the HBO drama "The Idol," which is still streaming on Max and starred Lile-Rose Depp, actor Johnny Depp's daughter.
