Simsbury PD Makes Re-Accreditation Push
Representatives of the accreditation agency were at the Simsbury Police Department this week, with the public being asked to weigh in.

SIMSBURY, CT — It was an important week for the Simsbury Police Department as it seeks re-accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).
CALEA officials visited the SPD on Monday, March 10, to inspect the department and analyze its policies and procedures, the SPD said this week.
The Simsbury PD is looking to gain re-accreditation, an important component that ensures the department operates to the stringent standards all police agencies seeking the designation must adhere to.
