Simsbury PD's Citizens Police Academy Starts Thursday, Feb. 22

The program will run Thursday nights through late April and is intended to give Simsbury community members a look at local law enforcement.

SIMSBURY, CT — The Simsbury Police Department's Citizens' Police Academy starts on Thursday, Feb. 22, with folks being asked to sign up and learn about local law enforcement.

The academy aims to provide citizens with knowledge about how the SPD operates and, possibly, inspire some to become police officers themselves.

The program runs every Thursday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Simsbury Police Department, 933 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury.

It will take place from Feb. 22 through April 25.

Applicants must be 18 years and up and be Simsbury residents or business owners.
