Simsbury State Rep Announces Re-Election Plans

A Democratic caucus is scheduled Wednesday at Eno Memorial Hall.

SIMSBURY, CT - State Representative John K. Hampton, who represents Simsbury in the Connecticut General Assembly, will seek the Democratic nomination for re-election at a Democratic caucus scheduled Wednesday at Eno Memorial Hall.

Hampton is running for his third term in the state legislature.

“I have the honor of serving Simsbury thanks to the outpouring of support from my family, constituents, neighbors and friends here in the 16th District,” Hampton said in a written statement. “I am proud of my record at the State Capitol, championing initiatives for senior citizens, standing up for individuals with disabilities, and protecting children by supporting safe schools and early childhood education funding. I am a pro-business, pro-jobs and pro-growth economic policy leader, committed to making our state a friendlier place for businesses to thrive. I have taken the lead in creating a statewide water plan to safeguard clean drinking water while protecting the Farmington River for generations to come. I will continue to advocate for fiscal restraint and structural reforms that will more efficiently deliver critical services and reduce long-term costs, promote public safety in our community and defend education funding to sustain Simsbury’s world-class schools.”
