See who has graduated, made the dean's list or received an award.
Sherry Marsh was honored by the Duncaster Retirement Community as one of two employees who deliver excellent service to those living at Duncaster.
Marsh received the community’s Ninth Annual Peggy and David Hubbard Award. Founded by the children of the Hubbards, longtime residents of Duncaster, the award honors two staff members, one working in a clinical capacity and the other non-clinical. Selections are made based on nominations from residents and colleagues in recognition of outstanding qualities of kindness, thoughtfulness, and consideration of others. She is joined by Bloomfield resident Diane Janes.
Marsh was the Clinical Winner of the award. Her dedication to duty was cited. Additionally, her knowledge and performance of her duties is always highly professional, accurate and effectively prompt.

Leah Judith Shafer, an American studies major at Dickinson College, was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester.
Megan Strouse, daughter of Robert Strouse and Carey Strouse, was named to the dean's list at Ithaca College’s Roy H. Park School of Communications for the spring 2011 semester.

The following residents were named to the spring 2011 dean’s list at Champlain College: Molly Cain and Adam Marks. Cain also received a bachelor of science degree in applied psychology.
Cailyn L. Welsh was named to the dean's list for academic achievement during the spring 2011 semester at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.
The following students have been named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire for the spring semester of the 2010-2011 academic year: Joshua Cain, Christine Dumais, John Fagone, Ashley MacDermott, Dorothy Cataldo, Scott Finnance and Heather Mitchell.
Robyn Singer graduated from Pace University’s Dyson College Arts & Sciences with a bachelor of arts degree.
The following students were among the 185 graduates from the Loomis Chaffee Class of 2011: Edward Black, Morgan Kille, Samantha Zambuto, Maria Pylypiv, Emily Riccio, Katherine Yannopoulos, Nicholas Yannopoulos and Maura Zaldonis.
Also at Loomis, the following students achieved high honors or honors for the spring term: Christian Bermel, Jamil Hashmi, Dakota Hunter, Sara Kase, Morgan Kille, Samantha Zambuto, Edward Black, Owen Dumais, Joshua Sussman, Daniel Wade, Scott Casher, Maria Pylypiv, Francesca Salvatore, Katherine Yannopoulos, Nicholas Yannopoulos, Ellen Cui, Mae Stover, Samuel Verney and Maura Zaldonis.
Jessica B. Fine as named to second honors on the Clark University dean’s list. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the spring 2011 semester.
More than 3,000 students graduated from Tufts University in May including Timothy Scully Jr., who graduated with a bachelor of arts in quantitative economics summa cum laude and mathematics; Thomas Valentin, who graduated with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering cum laude and Ariel Rapoport, who graduated with a bachelor of arts in economics summa cum laude.
The spring semester President’s List at Bryant University includes Jordan Papadinis, a senior accounting major. The President’s List is an academic distinction reserved for Bryant's highest achievers with the student earning a semester G.P.A. of 4.0.
Rebecca Drake, daughter of John H. Drake and Carol J. Drake, was named to the dean’s list of Emory College, the undergraduate, liberal arts college of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., for the 2011 spring semester.
The following received a degree from Emory University in May: Rajiv Rao, son of Ramesh Mugalam and Jyoti Ramesh, received a bachelor of business administration from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University and Rahul Rao, also the son of Ramesh Mugalam and Jyoti Ramesh, received a bachelor of science from Emory College of Emory University.
The following residents received degrees at Fairfield University’s commencement in May: Katherine A. Baldwin received a bachelor of arts in communication-media studies, Courtney L. Dumais received a bachelor of arts in individually designed major, John R. O'Hara received a bachelor of arts in international studies and Stephen J. Bodell received a bachelor of science in accounting.
Nancy Morehouse and Ryan Gagnon graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus.
Kira Philips, class of 2014 at Skidmore College, earned honors for the spring semester. She is the daughter of David Kulle and Clare Philips.
Benjamin Bailey, a senior Biblical studies major at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Va., was named to the spring semester dean's list. Bailey is the son of Todd and Diann Bailey.
Attorney Robert L. Wyld, a partner with the law firm of Shipman & Goodwin LLP’s Hartford, Conn. office, has been recognized by Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers, the nation’s preeminent guide to law firms and individual attorneys. Atty. Wyld was recommended as one of the nation’s 2011 “Leaders in Their Field” in the category of Litigation: General Commercial. He is one of 15 Shipman & Goodwin lawyers to be honored by Chambers USA this year.
