Simsbury Taking Fund Requests From Nonprofits

The deadline to apply for funding in the next fiscal year's budget is next month.

SIMSBURY, CT — The next calendar year is a bit more than a week away, but the Town of Simsbury is already prepping for the next fiscal year.

In fact, the Town of Simsbury has officially begun the fiscal year 2025-26 budget process, which is the annual ritual of crafting a spending plan that could impact taxpayers in their wallets.

As part of the process, the town has formalized its procedure for contributory grant applications, the town wrote in an announcement recently.

In order to be considered for contributory grant funding, agencies must be a governmental entity, a nonprofit human service organization that services Simsbury clients, or another non-profit (501c3) or not-for-profit agency (501c6) that serves Simsbury residents.

Those agencies then must submit an attached application and supporting documents by Jan. 10, 2025.
