St. Patrick's Night Limerick Game Show

The Storyteller’s Cottage in Simsbury, CT will host an unusual St. Patrick’s Night event that combines the lively boisterousness of traditional St. Patrick’s celebrations with the Cottage’s signature literary twist. On Sunday, March 17 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm, the Storyteller’s Cottage will host a “Limerick Game Show” that features teams of two trying to guess how their partner would complete a given limerick. This family-friendly event will include prizes for the most successful teams, and delicious Irish desserts, Irish coffee and Shamrock Shakes.

Teams may be comprised of friends, spouses, parents & children, or any combination thereof. Game hosts will read out a limerick with the last word missing, and one person from each team will write down the word they’d choose to complete the rhyme. Their partner will then try to guess what word the player wrote down. Points will be awarded for correct guesses, and prizes will be distributed at the end of the evening to the most successful teams. Fun themed Irish snacks and drinks will be available throughout the night. This evening is a charming way to celebrate this festive holiday without green beer or loud bars!
