SIMSBURY, CT — A Republican state senator serving Simsbury is hosting a special forum with constituents this Wednesday to discuss issues over slices of pizza.

State Sen. Lisa Seminara, R-Avon, is inviting area residents to attend a “Pizza & Policy” legislative update on Thursday, Aug. 15, at Iron Horse Pizzeria and Sports Pub, 21 Iron Horse Blvd., Simsbury.

Seminara, who is seeking another term in the 8th Senate District, serves the towns of Avon, Barkhamsted, Canton, Colebrook, Granby, Hartland, Harwinton, New Hartford, Norfolk, Simsbury, and Torrington.

Her event will last from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Seminara is expected to discuss the 2024 legislative session and answer questions from constituents.

She is currently pushing for a special session of the state legislature as soon as possible to address unaffordable electricity bills.

As a result, Seminara is encourages attendees to bring their electric bills to the “Pizza & Policy” event to show just how pricy power has become.
