Storyteller’s Cottage to Host Veteran’s Day Open Mic Storytelling

Veterans of all ages are invited to come to the Storyteller's Cottage on Veteran's Day to share their war stories .

The Storyteller’s Cottage in Simsbury, CT will host “Share Your War Story: Open Mic Storytelling” on November 11th from 1:00-3:00 pm, in honor of Veteran’s Day and all who have served.

Military men and women come from all walks of life and all have important experiences to share. Sharing dramatic life stories can be very freeing, especially among peers. Veterans of all ages are invited to come to the Storyteller’s Cottage on Veteran’s Day to share their war stories and experiences in front of a live and sympathetic audience. Participants will also be able to network with fellow veterans and their loved ones. This is an open mic event.

This event is $5 for listeners and speakers are free. The cover charge includes light refreshments. Veterans who want to share their story should email Lana@StorytellersCottage.com to get on the schedule.

The Storyteller’s Cottage is located at 750 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury, and features all manner of literary events and adventures, from author nights, to book-themed social hours, to challenging mystery room games. Parking for The Storyteller’s Cottage is free, and is available on the street in front of the building, and in the Fiddler’s Green parking lot on Wilcox Street (behind the house).
