The Storyteller's Cottage to Host Literary Dinner Party Series

The Storyteller’s Cottage in Simsbury, CT will host a unique literary dinner party series featuring five extraordinary, gourmet soirees based on popular classic novels, beginning Friday March 1.

Each glamorous evening will include a three-course dinner themed to that night’s book, beautifully immersive decor, lively discussion, and charming literary games. Guests at these exceptional evenings will feel transported to fantastical times and places, and immersed in their favorite books.

Dinners alternate between Friday nights at 7pm (for practicality) and Saturday nights at midnight (for the thrill of late night revels). Each event’s food and activities are all carefully curated to provide a captivating evening that’s both cerebral and amusing. Each night will also feature a surprise activity to breathe life into the festivities. Past activities have included live fortune telling and caricature drawing.

Saturday, September 28 at midnight … "Night Circus" Midnight Dinner

Friday, November 15 at 7pm … "Last Night on the Titanic" Literary Dinner

The Storyteller’s Cottage is located in a vintage Victorian house, and Literary Dinners are spread throughout several beautifully-appointed rooms, including the antique Victorian “Jules Verne Library” and the elegant Regency “Jane Austen Salon.” The Storyteller’s Cottage hosts all manner of immersive literary events throughout the year, including Great Gatsby themed Jazz Supper Clubs, Agatha Christie inspired live murder mystery nights, fascinating close-up illusions at their Fine Parlor Magic nights, and more.

Tickets are $60 per dinner, and guests are welcome to BYOB. Series discounts are also available. Each dinner menu is a surprise until the night of the event, but food allergies and restrictions are cheerfully accommodated with advance notice.
