Suspect Arrested in Connection with Simsbury Bank Robbery
The man was arrested in connection with Monday's holdup of a People's Bank branch.

SIMSBURY, CT — An East Hartford man was arrested Wednesday in connection with Monday's robbery of a bank in Simsbury.

Jason Sheehan, 42, was charged with second-degree robbery and third-degree larceny in connection with the Jan. 30 holdup of the People's Bank branch inside the Stop & Shop supermarket at the Simsbury Commons at 498 Bushy Hill Road.
At 10:58 a.m. Monday, police received a report that a male suspect showed a note demanding money, and was given an unspecified amount of cash before leaving the bank on foot. No weapons were threatened, police said.

Sheehan is being held on a $100,000 bond, and will be arraigned Thursday in Enfield Superior Court.
