Three Area Legislators Hosting Coffee Forum Saturday In Avon
Lawmakers serving Avon, Canton, West Hartford and Simsbury, among other towns.
AVON, CT — Constituents from several area towns are invited to Avon Saturday for a joint forum among three local lawmakers serving in Hartford.
The event is Saturday, July 8, at 9:30 a.m. at BeanZ and Co., located at 300 W. Main St., Avon.
Called a "legislative coffee update," the program is really not about coffee, but its about what took place in the state legislature this year and how it impacts towns.

Lawmakers expected at the forum are:
• State Rep. Eleni Kavros DeGraw, D-Avon, who serves Canton and part of Avon in the 17th House District.

• State Rep. Tammy Exum, D-West Hartford, who serves parts of West Hartford and Avon in the 19th House District.
• State Sen. Lisa Seminara, R-Avon, who serves all or parts of Norfolk, Colebrook, Hartland, Barkhamsted, New Hartford, Torrington, Simsbury, Canton and Avon in the 8th Senate District.
