The Town of Simsbury is seeking nominations for recipients of this year’s Hometown Hero Awards. Since 1986, Simsbury designates and recognizes outstanding individuals for their service to the community. All nominees must meet the following criteria:

- A person(s) who is a resident, or who is active in the Simsbury community, or who lived in Simsbury during the time period that is under consideration;
- A person(s) who has demonstrated selfless and altruistic behavior which contributes significantly to the betterment of our Town;
- Such deed or action performed inures primarily to the Town of Simsbury, although not necessarily exclusively; and
- Any individual or group nominated shall not be a member of Town staff, nor a sitting elected or appointed official. Nor shall the hero have benefited economically from his/her endeavors on behalf of the Town.
If you would like to nominate an individual or group for this award, please fill out the form below specifying why the person should be given this designation. Nominations must be submitted by 6:00pm on Monday, April 25, 2022 in an envelope mailed to the Town Hall addressed to the Town Manager’s Office, Town of Simsbury, 933 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, CT 06070 or via email to townmanager@simsbury-ct.gov.
