Town Of Simsbury: Storm Henri Update – August 22, 2021, 7:00pm

At 6:00pm this evening, the center of Tropical Storm Henri was located approximately ten miles south of Hartford. 

The following roads in Simsbury have partial closures due to downed trees or wires: Hop Brook Road, Wescott Road, Great Pond Road, and Holcomb Street. None of these road closures have resulted in completely blocked roads or trapped neighborhoods. Stockade Road is blocked, but Eversource is currently on scene and the road should be reopened soon.

There are currently 177 power outages in the Town of Simsbury.  As a reminder, to report an outage to Eversource, call 800-286-2000 or report online at https://outage.eversource.com/#/.

Please be advised that this storm event is not over; significant rain is predicted for Monday, with the possibility of heavy thunderstorms.  Remain vigilant, and check in on neighbors. Stay safe and be well.
