The Town of Simsbury has received approval for three community programs through the Neighborhood Assistance Act Program, which allows businesses to receive a tax credit for cash investments in qualifying programs conducted by tax-exempt or municipal agencies.

Business entities authorized to do business in Connecticut and subject to certain taxes may contribute to the following programs to receive a tax credit as follows:

Simsbury Food Closet: Receive a 60% tax credit on donations between $250 and $45,000 to support the purchase of gift cards for low income families to purchase fresh food (read more).

Open Space Acquisition Fund: Receive a 60% tax credit on donations between $250 and $150,000 to help establish an open space acquisition fund to support the preservation of land in Simsbury as protected open space (read more).

Simsbury Grange Energy Efficiency and Conservation: Receive a 100% tax credit on donations between $250 and $24,000 to support energy efficiency projects at the Grange (read more).

To contribute to one or more of these programs, simply complete the one-page online form (NAA-02).  This takes less than one minute to complete, and will be available for the 2021 program year starting September 15, 2021 through October 1, 2021.
