Traffic Advisory: Partial Road Closure on Sand Hill Road

Construction project closes road to through traffic on Sand Hill Road in Simsbury.

 

The town of Simsbury has announced a partial road closure on Sand Hill Road this week as crews perform work on the sewer system.

Sand Hill Road will be closed to through traffic between Hopmeadow Street and Bushy Hill Roads beginning Monday, June 18 through June 29.  Private contractors will be working to install sanitary sewers on the residential street, according to a release.

The road will be open nights and weekends during the construction project.

During the project, residents living west of Hopmeadow Street on Sand Hill Road, and on other side streets, are being asked to travel west on Sand Hill Road to Bushy Hill Road.

Residents traveling on Bushy Hill Road are being asked to use Deer Park Road to the south of the project or Stratton Brook Road to the north as an alternate route to Hopmeadow Street, according to the release.
