Veteran's Day with Author T.J. Banks at the Storyteller's Cottage
This Veteran's Day Author Event is FREE for Veterans

In honor of Veteran’s Day, on Saturday, November 9, from 2:00-3:00pm, the Storyteller’s Cottage will host author T.J. Banks for a discussion of her novel, A Time for Shadows, set in World War I. Veterans can attend for free, and all others pay a $5 cover, which includes a light reception afterward. Tickets can be reserved here: https://www.storytellerscottage.com/book-online/veteran-s-day-author-event
ABOUT THE BOOK: Wanting to "make a difference," young Iris Amory joins the Red Cross as a nurse and finds herself serving in a hospital over in France during World War I. Iris gets her heart broken open -- once or twice (at least) -- by it all and is transformed by the horror around her, becoming a strong, compassionate woman and an inspiration to Dawn Kailey, the young journalist she tells her story to.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: T.J. Banks has received writing awards from the Cat Writers’ Association, ByLine, and the Writing Self. Her book, Catsong, also won the 2007 Merial Human-Animal Bond Award. In A Time for Shadows, Banks departs from her feline fancy to write a somber romance novel that tugs at readers’ heartstrings and reminds them that love prevails, even in times of great turmoil, chaos, and death.
